American Rock Salt – Good down to -6°F, is fast acting and has superior melting power. American Rock Salt Halite begins melting ice quickly and keeps melting it for an extended period of time. This is made possible through multiple-sized crystals. The smallest crystals dissolve quickly while the larger crystals last longer, reducing the amount of rock salt needed to get the job done. American Rock Salt is easy to apply. It may be safely used on most surfaces ranging from blacktop, wood, stone, and gravel, to properly cured air-entrained concrete.
Ultra™ Anti-Skid is pre-treated with an anti-freezing and deicing enhancer, saving labor, equipment, and material costs of mixing with rock salt. Melts into the icy road surface for better traction on snow and ice. Better for dirt and gravel roads than rock salt. Stays on the road surface longer. Helps reduce costs and improves the performance of untreated anti-skid applications. It will not freeze or clump in the spreader because it’s good to as low as -4°F.
